Gotye Rocks with Nexo & DiGiCo

January saw ARIA award winning artist, Gotye (Wally de Backer) performing at Melbourne's National Theatre. The capacity event received rave reviews with sensational performances, an intricate light show and a world class sound system.

Montor City took the reigns with Event Equipment Melbourne supplying the kit utilising a Nexo Geo S12 and RS15 rig groundstacked. In total the setup comprised of 5 x S1210's per side, 3 x RS15's per side and 1 x S1230 positioned at the center of the stage.

For FOH, a DiGiCo SD9 was used with Stuart Padbury at the helm.

Gotye's star has been rising over the past few years and there's little wonder as to why. His ecclectic blend of rock has earned him a dedicated fanbase who are most discerning when it comes to his signature sound. With that in mind, the Nexo/DiGiCo combination along with the highly skilled engineers from Monitor City created a winning formula which impressed punters, managers and Gotye alike.

By utilising Nexo's NS-1 Speaker Emulation software, a suitable rig was eaily spec'd which delivered even coverage throughout the venue maximising efficiency and effectiveness.
