Happydayze with Nexo at Summadayze

Summadayze held on New Year's Day each year, at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, is an event that has become a bit of a yearly tradition for the dance crew of that city. This year saw the day sell out with over 27,000 people moving and grooving to dance acts and DJs such as De La Soul, Armin Van Buuren, Time Deluxe & Darren Emmerson, Miguel Migs & Lisa Shaw, and a whole stack more of international and local acts. There is nothing like kicking back and watching a huge group of people dancing to some fine sounds in the sun... well, unless you are dancing yourself, and that's what it's all about.

This year's Summadayze saw Nexo in full effect, with all of the stages (or zones) featuring Nexo to some capacity, including the Nexo Alpha system doing the main stage. In all, there were six areas with diverse line-ups, depending on the flavour of music you like best - whether it's Trance, Breaks, House or whatever, you were fully taken care of.

John Baker (pictured below), Festival Production Manager, and dedicated Nexo user was pleased with the day and reported only great feedback in regard to the Nexo the sound systems in use, which is a true test of the diverse nature of Nexo, where it walks away from a rocking gig like Powderfinger or Jet, then can easily step in to do the non-stop, bass-heavy sounds like Groove Armada and banging DJ sets at an event such as Summadayze.
