Nexo NXtension-ES4 Ethersound and Remote Control
The NXtension-ES4 Expander Board improves NX242 Digital TDcontroller processing capacities, and adds Digital Inputs/Output plus remote control functions via the DIGIGRAM EtherSound™ Network. Thanks to its additional DSP chip and Flash memory the NXtension Expander Board actually doubles the capacity of the NEXO NX242 Digital TDcontroller.
The EtherSound interface for the NEXO NXtension-ES4 for NX242 TDcontroller provides 4 digital inputs and outputs with audio digital distribution over Ethernet and ultimate low propagation delay allowing its use for the most demanding live audio applications.
In addition to its digital Audio input/ output the NXtension-ES4 includes full network or local remote control management of channel assignment and remote control of all NX242 parameters. NXtension-ES4 enables network remote installation survey, thanks to its native integrated networked status report capability.
Digital Audio Network Control
A core benefit to any audio network is its ability to be to be computer controlled, i.e. "administered" via protocol, so that network-connected equipment can transmit functionspecific (control, monitoring etc.) non-audio command data. EtherSound is just such a network. EtherSound's bi-directional control and monitoring protocol is embedded into each EtherSound data frame eliminating any need for separate control and monitoring cables. The entire network can be configured, monitored, and controlled from using PC software (Windows 2000 and XP) or a microcontroller.
EtherSound Monitor
EtherSound's unifying utility is the way Auvitran's free, fast EtherSound Monitor (ESMonitor) administration G.U.I (graphical interface) program allows operators to simultaneously manage multiple EtherSound devices from a single PC. For example, ESMonitor simplifies NEXO system integration into larger EtherSound networks when an NX242, fitted with a NEXO ES4 NXtension card, is controlled from the same computer that also controls other EtherSoundenabled devices such as a yamaha DME (DSP) processor, Digigram A/D converter, Camco Amplifier, Innovason mixing desk, etc.
Nexo NXtension-CAI Digital TDcontroller Remote Control
NXtension-CAI Expander Board improves NX241 & NX242 Digital TDcontroller processing capacities, and adds remote control functions via the CAMCO EtherCAI Network. Thanks to its additional DSP chip and Flash memory the NXtension Expander Board actually doubles the capacity of the NEXO NX241 & NX242 Digital TDcontroller.
