Monolith Power DMX series
When the lights start to dance... the show begins! There also is a lot of technology behind this performance, SOMMER Cables play a great role here! The power for the lights and the control signals for the movement must be transmitted through the cables.
Both are paired in a robust cable jacket, providing the input for the light mixing board and other DMX 512-dependent control units.
The MONOLITH POWER/DMX has a power infeed with a wire diameter of 3 x 1.5 mm2 and one (MONOLITH 1) or two (MONOLITH 2) or four (MONOLITH 4) DMX 512-cables. With the MONOLITH 4 two DMX-cables can be used for transmission of Intercom signals. Each wire pair is shielded with a tin-plated copper spiral. Both wires are numbered for better identification. The MONOLITH 8 is designed for larger events and has eight cables with return channels (8 x 4 x .008 inch).
The power line is equipped with its own PVC-jacket for added safety in compliance with VDE.
Of course the AES/EBU-cable can also be used as a microphone cable or as an infeed cable for active speaker systems.
