Reaching for the stars...this is what we did with this cable and created a high end multipair, most likely the best available on the market today.
It is a multipair for the ambitious studio professional, with no need to compromise on linearity and shielding. For optimised sound the two opposite wires (ÒcrossoverÒ) are paired. So we attained an incredibly low capacitive value of approx. 11.3 pF wire/wire, and thus almost loss-free transmission across long distances.
When connected crosswise the PEGASUS is even digitally suitable! (AES/EBU 110 Ohm) The dense stranding technique, adapted for linearity, and the fine oxygen-free copper strands with a diameter of .002 inch guarantee a homogenous, true sound image, high bending cycles, and durability.
The PEGASUS offers shielding far beyond the demands normally placed on a high end multipair. It was equipped with overall shielding and shielding per channel, each 100 % optically opaque. The overall shielding is made of a copper cross-braiding and the shielding per channel of a copper spiral with an additional conductive AL-foil.
Thus, the PEGASUS is not only protected against external interference, but the wire pairs are also separated perfectly and shielded from each other.
