Sommer Video Cable 0,6/2,8
Slimline M
![]()
Like big brother next door... only a little thinner, and version FRNC is even flame-retardent and resistant to the development of gasses. This cable also has a surge impedance of 75 Ohm with a tolerance of +/-1%. The SLIMLINE is 100 % shielded due to the use of a dense and tin-plated cross braided shielding and an AL/PT-foil.
Suitable for use in dry and damp rooms.
Version mini-coax 0.3/1.8 - see next pages.
THE ADVANTAGES:
- Available halogen-free and flame-retardent or in a PVC-version
- Great durability
- Very small diameter, thus easy to use for normed connector plugs
- Precise surge resistance of 75 Ohm
- Resistant outer jacket
- Available in green and black
- Suitable for digital cables
THE APPLICATION:
- Image processing in video technology
- Cabling for image and observation monitors
- Fixed installation for broadcast and television
- High frequency technology
Transit

For everyone needing a long line... the TRANSIT is the right cable. The basic construction is the same as for the multi-coaxial cables OBELISK and MEDIALINE, but the TRANSIT is recommenced for extreme lengths exceeding 131 ft. But it is also preferred for short distances in professional video studios. There it guarantees an image absolutely free of shadows and flickering.
The TRANSIT impresses with high flexibility, extended functionality and double shielding (copper braiding + AL/PT-foil) of the individual wires.
Now also available in a halogen-free version (FRNC) in 2, 3, and 5 x coax. For versions with 7 x coax, see the ODEON on the following page.
THE ADVANTAGES:
- Dependable and very high quality image transmission across long distances
- Very good damping and transmission values even for longer lengths
- Highly flexible due to the special jacket mixture and dense wire stranding
- Easy to wind (PVC-version)
THE APPLICATION:
- Fixed installation across long distances (theatres, sporting arenas, media and congressional centers)
- Multi-coax cable drum
