The LightViper product line, a revolutionary, lightweight, digital fiber optic audio snake, is now used in a wide variety of applications such as live broadcast applications, fixed installations, remote recording, and concert sound production. |
VIM-0808 / 1808Features: 8 analog OR digital inputs, 8 analog AND 8 digital outputs The 1808/0808 system consists of a VIM-1808 head end or “stagebox”, a VIM-0808 tail end or “mixer box”. No splits are available on these units. On the VIM-1808 all audio connections are made via DB25 connectors, with 8 analog line level AND AES3 digital outputs and 8 analog line level AND 8 AES3 digital inputs. Optics include a single fiber TX/RX pair standard. AC power is applied via standard IEC cable. This unit also contains a “Control” connection (RJ45) for transporting TTL data (or RS-422, 232, MIDI using a pair of MD3’s, or Yamaha protocol using a pair of DGL-422 dongles). The VIM-0808 is exactly the same as the VIM-1808 except it does not contain the system clock. This unit contains the system clock which is natively 24 bit/96k but can also operate at 24bit/48k using the external clock input. Optional Ethernet cards are available for all units (requires additional fiber pair). |
