VIM-1032 / 1832Digital Optical Audio Transmission SystemWhen used with a VIS-1832, provides a complete 32x8 digital optical snake system. The VIM-1832 is a 1U rack mount unit which can be front or rear mounted by changing the reversable rack ears. The 32 send outputs are available via (4) DB-25F connectors using a Tascam DA-88 pinout for analog and via (2) DB-25F connectors for AES3 digital. The 8 return channels are fed into similar DB-25F connectors for either analog or digital. A recessed toggle switch selects either analog or digital inputs. When using the digital I/O, the unit can be slave or master using either Word Clock or Super Clock via BNC connectors. The entire systems clocking is frequency coherent and driven by the VIM-1832. This includes the Stage Box (VIS-1832) and Monitor outputs (VIM-1032). The VIM-1032 is used in conjuction with the splitter outputs of the VIS-1832. It is the same unit as the VIM-1832 with two exceptions. There is no return path and there are only clock outputs. |
