18" Subwoofer System
Radian’s RP Series subwoofer systems are designed specifically for touring/live sound system applications. The RPS-118, single 18”, and RPS-218, a dual 18”, are designed to provide extremely deep, extended low-frequency response for high SPL live and playback applications.
Both the RPS-118 and RPS-218 feature a composite ribbed cone reinforced with Kevlar®. The 4” voice coil is edgewound aluminum for better transient response, but advanced adhesives give it the power handling capacity of more conventional copper voice coils. The RPS-118 and RPS-218 are capable of genuine 124-127 dB SPL, from 30 Hz to 500 Hz with 6 dB to spare for peak output.
Add this to a high-energy magnetic structure with a venturi cross section to increase efficient ventilation, and the result is a highly responsive subwoofer system that delivers robust bass at high SPLs.
